October Activities List ~ BLOGTOBER ~

Blogtober Post #2

Welcome Back! I hope you are all enjoying the October season so far. I’ve got a great list for y’all to help you enjoy this month to it’s fullest! It is still pretty hot here (unfortunately) but trust me I got my fall décor out and I’m lighting my candles despite the sweaty weather outside LOL.

What is your favorite thing to do during October? For me personally, I love to bake this time of year. I tend to have my favorites during these last few months of the year. October is pumpkin everything, November is pecan and apple everything, and December is peppermint mocha everything lol.

Throughout the states I know there are multiple festivals and parties going on this time of year. There is almost always something to do, especially on the weekends. If you are interested, but not quite sure where to look, check your local coffee shops or your county’s online website. You’re bound to find something!

This time of year is my absolute favorite. With the football games, the weather changing, the apple cider and s’mores popping up on everyone’s BBQ menus. I put this list together of some of my absolute favorite things to do this time of year and I really hope that it will inspire you to get out there and enjoy the beautiful weather and all the festivities that take place during October. It truly is the best time of the year!

Lots of Love,

~ Ray

  1. You have a great list of things to do! Baking and cooking with apples and pumpkins is always my favourite thing to do in autumn. The smell of it coming from the kitchen is just yummy. Also hot chocolate and chai latte season is starting! 🙂

    1. Yes! I love the pumpkin spice latte (and frappuccino) at Starbucks. My heart was so happy about a week ago, I got my first one of the season. 🙂 I love hot chocolate, have ever since I was a kid! I feel like the mini marshmallows are a must though!
I agree about the smells coming from the kitchen. Fall certainly brings some of the most amazing smells with it!!
Thanks so much for stopping by!

  2. There are so many things I want to do on these lists. I love Autumn but I’ve never really done many activities that actually link to Autumn and Halloween so this year I plan to change that. Thank you for sharing your ideas. America sounds like they really have a party when it comes to Autumn. I wish it was like that here in the U.K. I hope you have a lot of fun with your baking and I hope you post some of the recipes or pictures so we can see all the delicious treats ?

    1. America really does go all out for the season. Halloween is a great time for kids. Some neighborhoods around where I live will block off the whole road on Halloween night so it’s safe for kids and families to walk around and go trick-or-treating door to door. It really is fun. Plus there are festivals and carnivals in almost every other town all through the season so it really is great.
I don’t know much about the UK, but if you can get enough people interested, maybe y’all could come up with something.
A block party or something celebrating the season. Maybe a pot-luck where everyone brings their favorite dish. OR set up a “trunk-or-treat” where everyone sets up their car in a circle or a line somewhere and kids go from car to car to get some candy or fun Halloween themed goodies. Maybe have them dress up and have a costume contest or something. OR you could just host a Halloween themed party! IDK. Just some ideas. 🙂
I hope you find (or create) something fun this season!
Let me know how it goes! Thanks for stopping by!

  3. Those activities sound like a LOT of fun!
Sadly, I don’t have Fall in my country or that would have been perfect.

Hope you manage to do most of them this month though! I know for sure that I won’t be visiting a haunting house at least haha.

    1. Well, I probably won’t get to visit a haunted house this year either, seeing as I’ll probably have a newborn around that time!
I think everyone should get to experience Fall, it really is the best time of year.
I hope that one day you will get to at least visit somewhere and experience all that the season has to offer.
      Thank you for stopping by!
