Well, we’re here!
Today is the day we say our official goodbyes to 2018! I can’t believe this year is officially over! Today is a great day to just reflect on everything that has happened in your life this year. What are you proud of or maybe not so proud of? What changes did you make? Is there anything you wish you had changed?
Every minute of every day presents an opportunity for change.
Maybe you want a new job, a new car, new friends, or a new home. Well, what are the steps to take that will get you to these new things? Are you willing to take those steps? I encourage you to look at your life over the last year… was it everything you had hoped it was going to be back in January?
Here’s a little bit of what went through my head as I reflected on my 2018.
So much has happened in my life this year and it has been wonderful.
I went through my first pregnancy and became a Mama. I flew solo for the first time in my life and it was also my first international flight!
My husband and I moved into our new home closer to the beginning of this year. I have continued my Yoga practice, and I’ve kept this blog up and going throughout this year with minimal breaks. I just feel as though I’ve grown so much as a person this year.
Becoming a Mama
has truly changed me in so many ways. I feel on the inside like I just want to be the absolute best version of myself because I know my Little Man is watching me. Little ones learn by watching. And I want to teach my son how to be patient, caring, loving, dedicated, just everything good. I know I won’t do everything exactly right all of the time, but I sure can try. I think that’s why I’ve started waking up at 5:30/6am the last week or so. I want to get into that habit so that I can set a good example for him.
By waking up early,
I have time to complete my morning bathroom routine, including a shower. I read my book, read my Mommy Devotional, fit in a 20-30 minute Yoga session, pump breast-milk for Baby Boy, reply to emails/comments, prepare & eat my breakfast, as well as get my hubby’s breakfast ready for when he wakes up. Sometimes I even throw in a load of laundry or hand wash some of the dishes.
It feels so good to get so much done in the morning before Baby Boy wakes up around 8am. This way, I can focus on him and not feel pressured or rushed to get other things done during the day.
This morning routine is definitely one that I hope to continue into the New Year.
My hubby is a “night owl” and I’m becoming an “early bird” so this has created some issues lol. But hopefully, we will figure it all out soon.
has really grown this year. I took a couple of breaks as far as posting goes, but I plan to really buckle down in 2019. I hope to grow Hart Of Blogging so much more as I learn about SEO, content creation and FINALLY figure out the whole Pinterest thing!
I may only post once during some weeks, but as I get into the swing of being a Mama, hopefully, I’ll get back to posting two or maybe even three times a week. I guess it just depends on how everything plays out.
the biggest thing happening in 2019 looks like it will be an international move to the UK. So I am extremely excited about that and hope that everything will go as planned. Other than that, I just hope to have a happy, healthy family. I also hope that my relationship with Christ will continue to grow and flourish.
I ask you. What are your hopes for 2019? Any changes you want to make?
Let me know in the comments!
Lots of Love,
