I Am With You & I Am For You

I am with you

I am with you and i am for you (1)

Hi all!

WELCOME BACK to the Faith & Inspiration section of Hart Of Blogging. It’s been a while, I know. Things have been a bit crazy in my life lately. If you don’t know, I just had a BABY 11 weeks ago. You can read all about that journey HERE.

I really want to focus on this section more this year and will probably be posting at least once, if not twice, a week. This section is more than just normal blog posts. One of my goals for this year is to read and study the Bible every morning. So, I figure, why not share with you guys my favorite devotionals/messages from the week.

So far this year, I’ve actually been reading 3 different little devotionals every day.

  • 3 Minute Devotions for Moms of Little Ones
  • 31 Days of Prayer for my Children
  • Jesus Calling by Sarah Young

These devotions have really helped me to focus on The Lord each day and spend time with Him, even if it’s only 20 minutes.

Today I want to talk about the entry for January 9th in Jesus Calling. Before I share that entry with you, I want to talk a little bit about patience and obstacles.

When we, as Christians, are presented with obstacles in life, we are supposed to have faith that through God, ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE. This means that it doesn’t matter if we think the obstacle we face is the size of a mountain. If we have faith then that mountain will move!

For the past week or so, I’ve been struggling with this. There are things in my life at the moment that are very exciting to think about, but also kind of hard to believe that they might actually happen. I am trying to have faith that these things are what God wants for me and my little family because it just seems so right. But, the way in which these things are supposed to happen has yet to be revealed to me. It seems like there are so many obstacles standing in our way. Finances, travel, family, having a newborn, etc. It just feels like there is a lot against us moving forward with certain plans at the moment.

So, with all of this (plus some) going through my head, imagine my surprise/shock when I picked up my devotionals that morning and saw this…

January 9 – JESUS CALLING by Sarah Young

I AM WITH YOU AND FOR YOU. When you decide on a course of action that is in line with My will, nothing in heaven or on earth can stop you. You may encounter many obstacles as you move toward your goal, but don’t be discouraged – never give up!

With My help, you can overcome any obstacle. Do not expect an easy path as you journey hand in hand with Me, but remember that I, your very-present Helper, am omnipotent.

Much, much stress results from your wanting to make things happen before their times have come. One of the main ways I assert My sovereignty is in the timing of events. If you want to stay close to Me and do things My way, ask Me to show you the path forward moment by moment. Instead of dashing headlong toward your goal, let Me set the pace. Slow down, and ENJOY THE JOURNEY in my Presence.

Romans 8:31; Psalm 46:1-3 NKJV; Luke 1:37”

WOW. So, after reading that, I spent a good amount of time simply praying. It was exactly what I needed to see/hear and at the exact moment that I needed to see/hear it. We have to be strong in our faith and not let fear or worry creep in because you can bet your bottom dollar, fear and worry will most definitely try their darnedest to creep into your thoughts and feelings about any situation possible. Fear is of the devil. Period.

Join me this week as I work to continuously remind myself that with Christ, ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE. No matter how improbable we may think they are. Two things stand true.

  1. God will never present a situation that we can’t handle (with Him)
  2. God will never let us go. All we have to do is ASK.

Ask God to give you the Faith to believe that He will pave the way for you. Ask God to give you the Patience to wait on His perfect timing. And ask God to show you His path for your life, moment by moment.

Thank you for taking the time to read this post. I pray for each of my readers each and every day and hope that you are all healthy, happy and loved.

Lots of Love,

~ Ray

  1. Hi Ray,

Thank you for sharing. It is very difficult for us to not be able to “see’ the plans God has for us, but as believers, we have to hold fast to his unchanging words and know that all things will work out for our good! Congrats on the bundle and happy new year!

  3. Congratulations on the new baby! My youngest is almost 10 so it’s been awhile for me. I am not religious but enjoyed reading about your faith and I’m so happy that you have something like that in your life. I know how much it can help people.

    1. Thank you. 🙂 It’s more than religion. It’s a relationship with Christ and I hope that everyone understands this – You too can have a relationship with Christ. It’s a gift, not something you can work for or do good deeds to get. You just have to accept Him for Who He is. I’m here if you ever want to talk.
And 10…wow I can hardly imagine my baby turning 1 let alone 10 at this point lol.
      Thanks for stopping by!
