Okay guys. So, I get a lot of questions about what it is that I’m loving these days, so I figured I would share that list with you.
As summer approaches I suppose the top thing that I am loving lately is my Starbucks Frappuccino’s! I know this can be a sticky subject between people but YES, cold coffee is still coffee. And guess what, IT is freakin delicious!
My absolute favorite these days is the Caramel Ribbon Crunch Frappuccino with coconut milk. Sometimes I’ll go for the White Chocolate Mocha Frappuccino with almond milk as well. Both are definitely a wonderful treat when out and about on a warm/hot day.
Another favorite of mine is Raspberry Leaf Tea. This is said to be a great for ladies health as well as breastfeeding moms. And since I am both, I figured it sure couldn’t hurt. I make a huge pitcher at the beginning of the week and it usually lasts me about 4 days or so. I am loving the Raspberry Leaf Tea mixed with Green Tea. It is so refreshing and delicious.
Okay, so that’s some of my favorite drinks, let’s talk about some of my favorite foods!
So far this summer, my absolute favorite food is grilled chicken. Seriously though, I’m obsessed. It’s good in wraps, on salads, in fajitas and stir-fry’s, and it’s delicious with pasta…etc. This stuff can be used in so many ways. I like to cook a big batch of this when I’m grilling it up. I usually use my indoor cast iron “griddle” skillet I think it’s called. It has the grooves like a grill but I’ll probably start grilling outside soon.
My other favorite thing to eat during the summer is FRESH. This could be fresh veggies or fruits. I love both. Stir-fry’s are one of my favorite things to cook, they are so easy to throw together and it’s so versatile. You could add some tomato sauce and pasta or some soy sauce and fried rice, use them to top a homemade pizza, or just leave ’em plain with some delicious grilled chicken! Fresh cucumbers, watermelon, mango, strawberries, peaches, I mean the list just goes on. It is one of the things that makes me the most happy, especially during the summer, to have a fully stocked fridge/pantry with fresh & delicious foods. Like… YES.
My next favorite thing, and I guess this is more like one of my favorite things TO DO.
That is SWIM! Well, swim and do some water exercises. It is such a great way to get in daily exercise and now that Baby Boy can join me in the water, well that just gives me even more motivation to get out there. I’ll often do squats or leg lifts while holding on to Baby Boy in the shallow end. Not to mention the arm and back work out I get while holding him and moving him back and forth. It is really a full body workout. If you have a little one and access to a pool, I highly recommend getting in together and doing some exercises. It is so much fun and it doesn’t feel like working out at all.
As far as products go, my favorite hair product is John Frieda’s Beach Blonde Sea Waves Spray. I’m not sure why the name of this product has “Blonde” in it… I find it a bit misleading, but I have been using this spray for almost 10 years now and it gives me the perfect “beachy” style waves with no braids or curling iron needed. I LOVE it. Especially during the warmer, summer months. Also one of my favorites would be this Garnier Fructis Sleek & Shine leave in conditioner. I love the way this product smells and it seriously lasts for months! Even if you use it everyday, you get so much for the price. It’s awesome.
